Gerry Cottle Jr talks about his Rooftop Film Club

There can’t be many people in the film business in London with more going on than Gerry Cottle Jr.

Gerry’s the guy who founded Rooftop Film Club, which spawned the Drive-In Film Club. Which gave birth to the Underground Film Club. While also setting up a Rooftop Club in New York…. Basically, he’s been at the centre of a lot of the best cinemas popping up around the city.

Unsurprisingly, he’s a busy guy (he told me that his wife calls herself a ‘cinema widow’ over the summer months…)

But with Rooftop Film Club getting into full swing in the summer soon, he took a break from that schedule to chat about watching films on a roof, the audiences that come along and, er, the Queen.

Enjoy!
